for the very reasons you stated, jamiche. I think that might be the only way to stop those on the left with their deep set hatred of President Bush. I
don't know if it all that good for President Bush, though. The pardon will have the "we all know he's guilty or why would he have been
pardoned" stigma to it.

I can see your point, bga1. You feel that there is no pardon needed. And for the sake of argument, let's take that as the correct opinion. What I was
trying to say, is that given that there is no pardon needed, there are those that will still try regardless to bring indictments against President
Bush, and some may succeed. To prevent that for President Bush's sake and for the overall good for our country, maybe a pardon wouldn't be all that bad
of an idea.
But, as I mentioned in my earlier post about the stigma attached to a pardon, maybe President Bush would rather defend himself against all comers. I don't know. |
