*The run D looked great against Wisconsin and Iowa wants to line it up and run in the same style. Our D is better against a run it down your throat running
attack than we are against a spread running attack (Lawrence is great but the other two LB's are not fast enough). Greene is a better back than Hill or
Clay but I hope the D takes it as a challenge to be the first D to hold him under 100 yards. If we limit big plays that is not out of the question.
*Minnesota always plays Iowa tough at home when we are not supposed to win. Plus, this Gopher team is much better as an underdog.
*I don't know how the Iowa players are looking at this game but the postings from Iowa fans since beating Penn State are over the top arrogant. I realize Iowa beat PSU but having watched Iowa a few times this year they are by no means a top team.
*Stanzi is much better than Jake Christenson but he makes mistakes and we need to capitalize on those mistakes. If can get Iowa in 3rd and long situations I like our chances of getting off the field or intercepting passes.
*Iowa has a good run defense but they have a weak secondary--that is the ideal match up for us. We just need to play to our strengths.
*I'm looking for Van De Steeg to get especially jacked up for his last game at home and take over for at least a half (like 1st half Wisconsin & 4th quarter Illinois).
*The Iowa kicking game sucks (2 missed extra points last week) and that could haunt them in a tight game.
Prediction: Minnesota 23, Iowa 20
