University of Minnesota officials will meet again today to discuss a new Gophers baseball stadium, and the next step in the process will be privately raising $5-6 million to get the first phase of the anticipated $12-15 million project started. Plans include razing Siebert Field, with the new field, which also will be named after the late coaching legend, Dick Siebert, to be sunk seven feet lower than the existing field.
If they know they're gonna drop the field down....does that mean they have an idea what it's gonna look like? I really want to see this happen, b/c the current Siebert is a terrible stadium.
